Power supply (Access Control) – iWatch Software is controlled by the XPIP Panel. The all new Exciting feature is that the Access Control power supply provides all the power needed by the XPIP-SEC Board & AUX Power to devices viz. card reader. It is connected to the AC line voltage via a 16.5VAC, 40VA plug-in power transformer. The power supply provides a battery backup/charger connection and supports a 7 Amp Hour battery.

ADVANTAGES:

1)      The backup battery will power the circuit only in the event of failure. The battery is otherwise charging from that same primary circuit. Now no need to worry about the power to run the System while Power failure at your locality.

2)      The backup battery prevents the burglar from disabling the alarm by turning off power to the building.

3)      This battery runs the real-time clock (RTC) present in the Microcontroller and is referred to as the CMOS battery. By keeping the clock active and running even when the Panel  is switched off, power up/down cycles can be logged and before the internet, your Panel  could keep dates, data, log, settings accurately and Unchanged.

4)      They are compact and have long life. They are usually a primary single cell with a nominal voltage. For example, CR2032: 20 mm diameter, 3.2 mm height.

5)      It keeps the entire Software settings Unchanged also when there is no Electricity. It can easily identify an Authorized person as well as an Intruder.
