Now a day over 166 million professionals worldwide, organizations use wireless technologies to solve business problems and create advantages over competitors. Wireless solutions are enabling remote or mobile workers (such as field sales, field service, manufacturing, and logistics personnel) to access information and business applications from more places.

With respect to Security System wireless communication is very efficient. We can connect Wireless Cameras directly to any wireless Switch. With the help of switch we can easily connect any server.

Wired Network requires a long intercepting cable stretched all over the way from port to port. It is a bit messy and not preferred everywhere in a Hi-Fi setup. Today it becomes a trend to use wireless mouse, keyboard and other peripherals. With the help of a dongle attached on a USB port of CPU we are operating several devices at a time. This is a new generation of advancement is Network Technology which helps us in simplifying our work like anything.  wireless protocol connects electronic devices while they are close to each another. Instead of creating a local-area network (LAN) or a wide-area network (WAN), Wireless creates a Wireless local-area network (WLAN), Public wireless local-area network (PWLAN), Wireless wide-area network (WWAN), Wireless personal area network (WPAN) and Wireless metropolitan area network (WMAN).

PRINCIPLE: Wireless networks utilize radio waves and/or microwaves to maintain communication channels between computers or devices. Wireless networking is a more modern alternative to wired networking that relies on copper and/or fiber optic cabling between network devices. Almost all computing devices, including desktops, workstations, monitors, keyboards, notebooks, tablets, handhelds, and printers can be equipped to communicate wirelessly. Most of the wireless local area networking (WLAN) products follows the 802.11 “Wi-Fi” standards.

  1. A computer’s wireless adapter translates data into a radio signal and transmits it using an antenna.
  2. A wireless router receives the signal and decodes it. The router sends the information to the Internet using a physical, wired Ethernet connection.

NETWORK STANDARD TYPES:

802.11a.

802.11b.

802.11g.

802.11n.

Users are finding that wireless LANs provide more flexibility to configure an office and can improve both the productivity and the collaboration of office workers. These solutions help customers create value for their customers and an advantage over their competitors. Wireless systems can be configured in a variety of topologies to meet the needs of specific applications and installations. Configurations are easily changed and range from peer-to-peer networks suitable for a small number of users to full infrastructure networks of thousands of users that enable roaming over a broad area

BENEFITS OF WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY:

1). Wireless solutions advance these benefits by allowing users to access shared information, e-mail, and applications without the constraints of a wired connection.

2). wireless technology allows network managers to set up or augment networks without installing or moving wires.

3). Wireless solutions offer productivity, convenience, and cost advantages over traditional wired networks.

4). Wireless solutions can provide users with access to real-time information from more places in their organization.

5). Wireless technology avoids expensive cabling and wiring costs when reconfiguring offices and relocating employees.

6). It saves the time of Network Engineers and Administrators.
