Features of Video Server:

A good video server records, stores, and plays back multiple streams of video without any degradation in the video signal. Broadcast quality video servers often store hundreds of hours of compressed audio and video, play out multiple and synchronized simultaneous streams of video, and offer quality interfaces such as Serial Digital Interface for digital video and XLR for balanced analog audio or AES/EBU digital audio and also Time Code used for synchronization. It provides solution for monitoring multiple cameras sources over the Internet and local area networks. Live video streams can be viewed from anywhere with only a web browser. Any configuration changes are also done through a web browser so there’s no software to learn and no browser plug-ins required. It should support NTSC or PAL.

Video Server are used in remote monitoring, security systems, alarms verification, traffic surveillance, railway monitoring, airports, banks, manufacturing plants, process monitoring, remote image archiving, remote administration, shops, gas stations, car parks.
