International Security Expo from Oct 12

A three-day international security expo showcasing modern security gadgets would be held in the capital beginning from October 12 by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).

Over 55 leading companies the world over would display latest products, technologies and services for security, safety, fire protection, disaster management and related areas, the Chairman-cum-Managing Director, ITPO Mr. VikramSehgal told reporters here in a news conference.

Being the 14th edition in an annual series, the display profile of the Expo would include, among others, access control systems, perimeter protection devices, surveillance devices, burglar alarm systems, explosive detection and disposal, aviation security, disaster management, equipment for banking and hospital security and information security devices. It would also put on show audio-video surveillance and de-bugging devices, equipment for forensic science labs, fire alarm and fire-fighting equipment, personal safety and crowd control and radio communication system.

MrSeghal said seminars on different facets of security-related issues would be organised during the Expo which includes Homeland Security, organised by Bharatiya Global Infomedia Limited and ITPO and US-India Homeland Security Cooperation, organisedb y American Chamber of Commerce and Identifying User needs for security related equipment and technology organised by Bureau of Police Research & Development, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Minister of State for Home Affairs Mr. Jitendera Singh would inaugurate the Expo and a large contingent of delegations from neighbouring countries, besides central and state government departments, public sector undertakings and corporate sector also would visit the three-day Expo.
